Tina Ann Byers: It is so important to know Dog CPR. Within the last year, my 19 year old Yorkie, Paras, had 3 cardiac episodes and Dog CPR brought her back each time. Paras continues to enjoy an excellent quality of life -- and it just would not have happened if I did not know Dog CPR.Tina Ann ByersProud Yorkie Mommie of Tashia (5), Paras (19), Arnold (13 - Special Needs) and Baby Gabby (11 months - Special Needs)

What are the most important commands for a new puppy?

1.  Drop it!!  (Puppies need to learn to give up items that they shouldn't have like a shoe, food, or your favorite piece of jewelry).

2.  Leave it!! (Similair to Drop it, but hopefully before teeth marks get on that shoe.)

3.  Use the word "don't" instead of "no"--if you want to take your dog in the show ring you might want to use words like "slow"or "let's go".

4.  The most important command IMHO is Come.  This is one you will want to reinforce with your puppy everywhere you go.  It might save your dog's life, some day.
